    How do I convert a .txt file to speech?

    Upload your .txt files to get started. The studio organises the text into an editable queue, then creates merged WAV or MP3 audio alongside separate files.

    Is there a file size limit?

    You can upload files up to the 80 MB limit for local processing. Long text is split into manageable sections, and Cloud mode measures your character count against the allowance shown on screen.

    No. FreeTextoSpeech works straight in your browser. There is no software to install, no browser extension, and no sign-up.

    Will markdown or code formatting be read out loud?

    Yes. The voice reads aloud everything on the page. Remove any markdown symbols, code brackets, or spacing you do not want spoken before starting.
