02 Does the text leave my browser?
The page doesn't upload your text to FreeTextoSpeech. Speech behaviour can vary depending on your device and voice provider, so check your browser or operating system's privacy documentation for sensitive content.
03 Can it read long articles?
You can paste long text, but browser speech engines work best when you work in sections. For a long document, paste one heading or a few paragraphs at a time.
04 Why are the voices different on another device?
This reader uses the voices available in your current browser. A Mac, Windows PC, Android phone, and iPhone can each show different names and languages.
