Fix how a word is said

Add a word the voice gets wrong and spell it the way it should sound. The fix is used every time you generate, and your script stays exactly as you typed it. Saved in this browser only.

Source files are parsed locally. In Cloud mode, only the selected text sections are sent for speech generation. In-browser mode keeps both the source and generated speech on this device.

    FAQ

    Frequently asked questions

    01

How do I convert a Markdown file to speech?

Upload your .md file straight to the tool. It strips out syntax and code blocks whilst keeping link text intact, leaving you with clean sections ready for narration.
    02

Will it read Markdown formatting out loud?

No. Headings, bold text, images, and raw link URLs are removed automatically before generating speech. You can check the parsed text and make quick edits before creating the audio.
    03

Why convert Markdown files to speech?

It is handy for listening through draft blog posts to spot awkward wording, turning README files into audio guides, making technical documentation accessible, or catching up on research notes on the go.
    04

How do I strip Markdown formatting cleanly?

There is no need to clean up the file beforehand. Simply upload your document and the importer strips the markup into plain text, which you can still edit before producing the speech.
    05

Can it read out code blocks?

It can, but hearing code read symbol by symbol is rarely helpful. We recommend stripping code snippets before generating audio, or running the file through Pandoc first if you need custom filtering.
